See Yosemite!
As an East Coast Girl used to flat water and the slightest rooling hills you can have at sea level (aka Florida), I must say that Yosemite is truly amazing and something for everyone's list of things to do and see.
The road to Yosemite winds through the mountains. The last trip we took required us to stop and put the brand new chains we bought in town on the car. When you come through the last tunnel, stop at the turn off and take in the view of half dome and the rest of the valley. It is worth the extra time.
Along the way, be on the look out for deer, wolves, the wild life was out and about on our visit. And being winter, the falls were starting to flow. Compared to our prior visit, which had been in October with little water left in the valley, we were thrilled to see the water cascading over the rocks.
It's hard to put into words all of the views to be had. And I've only been to the valley. I'm sure there are stories to be told of the back country and beyond...
