There is a nature walk that was created for beginners along the Painted Desert Trail in the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge. Many, more advanced trails can be found here and in the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. At Kofa, there is one that will take you to Palm Canyon where you can see the only palm trees that are native to the area. Many of the area’s wildlife may be seen on your hike. Even the easy hikes may reward you with sightings of deer, eagles, hawks, burros and possibly even a big horn sheep.
Now that you’ve settled in at your Yuma RV Park, Arizona, you have an opportunity to enjoy some great water activities on the Colorado River. You can Kayak your way through town, float for hours on a tube, enjoy a relaxing wade in the cool river water or take a jet ski out for a spin.
