Dallas has created a dynamic outdoor living area.

 

Whether you have a thirst for the velocity of Dallas’ city life or hunger for nature of the picturesque outdoors, Dallas has both opportunities awaiting you. Since Dallas is one of the largest cities in the United States, and is the third largest city in Texas, you will be entertained effortlessly. Dallas has an impressive skyline and is noted for having the top art museums in the nation. Dallas’ average daily temperature is 77 deg. F and has a humid, subtropical climate. It is located in a region that receives warm, dry winds bringing the famously, desirable high temperatures.

Downtown Dallas has several districts for you to select tailored to your needs. Choose from the West End Historic District, the Art District, the Main Street District, the Farmers Market District, the City Center Business District, or The Convention Center District. In addition, Dallas also offers plenty of shopping, top restaurants, exciting nightlife, and the new Trinity River Project which boast amazing outdoor activities.

Dallas has been creating a dynamic outdoor living space since the City Council initiated the Trinity River Project in 1997. It adds an abundance of easy and active living, with new lakes, acres of greenbelt along the riverfront, parks galore, equestrian centers; an Audubon Center, an endless number of trails in and out of the city designed for the activity of your choice. Let’s not forget McCommas Bluff, Joppa and Cedar Ridge Preserves that are within Dallas’ city limits. These Preserves offer 600 acres of outdoor enjoyment for the whole family. So pack your sunscreen, hiking boots, binoculars and picnic lunch then head to one of these preserves for a day full of pleasure in the great outdoors.

Don’t overlook the Trinity River Audubon Center, designed by Gold Medalist architect Antoine Predock. It is the first LEED-certified building in the City of Dallas. This center is just eight minutes from downtown Dallas and is operated by the National Audubon Society. This teaching facility provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on of eco-friendly environment and the Preservation of nature.
