On our way to the Rally.

We are currently in Casa Grande, AZ are will be leaving next week to go to the Rally in Albuquerque, NM. We are not sure if we should go north to Flagstaff and across or down and across to Las Cruces and then up. Any suggestions?

We pull a 31ft 3 slide fifth wheel with a Ford F_250 diesel and use I-10 or I-40 but only one or the other. Have gone by way of Las Cruses only 2 time and NEVER again. More places to stop on I-40 to rest or eat I have no trouble clmbing eather routes just dont like the Las Cruses trip. We use I-40 when we go to Yuma if the weather is good.

I just returned from Albuquerque by way of Los Cruces. Lots of road construction and some very barren areas. I25 from Las Lunas to Albuquerque is a total zoo: construction, no speed control, and very very heavy traffic. I would go north to flag and take I40.

We live in Florence, AZ are considering taking Rte 60 across to Amarillo, TX. Know of any reasons why we shouldn't consider 60? Thanks

You'll have steep climbing to get up to Flagstaff. Ugh. But you're about the same distance either way. So if you go East on the I-10 to Las Cruces, then drive North to Albuquerque, I think you'll have a much easier trip. Paul
